Our recent installation at Dover Street Market London for the fashion label Stefan Cooke saw the transformation of almost-discarded wardrobes into a theatric display of SC’s garments. Taking reference from the brand’s design processes and also the work of Gordon Matta-Clark, whose practice focused on the power of transformation — specifically how the act of subtraction through cutting (literally and visually) into an existing architecture creates new relationships with spaces and objects previously regarded without value and left ‘unseen.’
