Free Free Mobile Empowerment Spaces are initiatives to bring the organisation’s methodologies to locations across The Gambia and Brazil. Out of the back of a van, the proposal intends to provide safe spaces and supportive environments within which individuals, particularly women and girls, can partake in workshops supporting healing and growth. The design takes from Free Free’s practices and provides a contextually adaptable space of gathering. A lightweight canopy of fabric and steel allows for a shared experience, that becomes a canvas for expression, as well as a shield to heal and grow collectively.
